Keep cool with a Banana-Mango Freeze

This soft-serve like dessert is perfect for after a BBQ or just as a refreshment on a hot day.  With a few minutes and 4 ingredients you can make a tasty dessert with 2 servings of fruit and a smile to put on your face.  It beats ice cream or frozen yogurt, because it is just fruit.  Frozen bananas by themselves are great, and a great snack, but add mango and blend it together and it becomes a dessert out of this world.

Hint:  Freeze very ripe bananas before they are overripe for this recipe or as a snack.  Peel and slice the bananas and store them in a ziploc bag or in tupperware.  Use within 2-3 days.

Banana-Mango Freeze
Serves 4

4 frozen bananas, sliced
1 cup mango, diced
1/4 cup milk, yogurt, or soymilk
1 Tbsp sweetener: splenda, sugar, maple syrup, (optional)

Add all ingredients to blender and blend well.  May need to stir the mixture or add additional milk or soymilk, 1 tbsp at a time (we don't want it smoothie consistency).  Serve immediately.
